I have been fascinated by photography from a very young age. At the age of 7 I became the proud owner of my first (pink) camera. From that moment on, my friends and family frequently became my subject. As time went by my equipment became more sophisticated and the bathroom was changed into a darkroom.
After high school in the Netherlands, I attended university and gained a Masters in Business. I have enjoyed a fulfilling career in management, travelled to and lived in many exciting places and met many diverse and interesting people. Throughout this time, my passion for photography has remained.
When I returned to London in 2009, therefore, I embarked on a digital photography course. Since then, I have completed further courses and have worked on a range of assignments. In 2010, I won my first international award, which resulted in me exhibiting in London, Washington and Guatemala. In the meantime my photo's have been published in 100% Wenen travelguide, Wallpaper, OK Magazine, ELLE Decor Italy and had the honour to receive three more international awards.
I specialize in still life photography (an interest that I inherited from my mother) and family portraiture. This interest arose when I worked as a consultant at an orphanage in Malaysia. But I am also a mother myself. Around my two boys I know how fast they grow up and what a treasure it is to have beautiful portraits. I love working with children, being so natural, unpredictable and full of energy. It is my passion to capture a child’s personality and beauty in a contemporary style and create a once in a life time moment.
